Menopausal Thought for the Day or Year or perhaps Forever: I let - TopicsExpress

Menopausal Thought for the Day or Year or perhaps Forever: I let a close friend years ago borrow a PA system of mine. I totally forgot and was looking for it one day and so irritated I couldn’t find it I was going to blow my stack! I looked everywhere in my house and couldn’t find it. As I was swearing internally and sweating externally I recalled that I let my friend borrow the PA. I called her and told her I couldn’t find the PA she borrowed YEARS AGO and where the hell was it! I needed it! Now mind you, she was also menopausal and could not remember if she returned it and was so distressed that she misplaced it she searched all the places she had played gigs at and finally found what she thought was my PA. Relieved, she came right over with it and apologized a million times for misplacing it and not returning it to me. I took one look at that PA system and knew it wasn’t mine. Now I was steaming. How could you lose it and bring me back a PA that wasn’t even mine??? I should have NEVER EVER lent it out! So my friend who is just about ready to cry says, it has to be in your house somewhere and she starts to look. I’m shaking my head and saying no it isn’t here and so devastated that it is now gone. My friend opens the hallway closet door looks behind a big picture and.... THERE IT IS!!! I am SHOCKED and MUTE at the same time. Are you kidding me??? The very first place she checks she finds it!!!!!! Needless to say my tail was between my legs and full of complete and utter remorse I begged her forgiveness as I was reduced to a puddle of shame and embarrassment. This type of accusatory suspicion has plagued me in my menopausal years. I just found this online and feel some sort of redemption for all my past blame attacks! Sorry MAMA for blaming you when I lose something! Please read below... Paranoia or panic disorders that occur during menopause are often a result of the hormonal imbalances that menopause triggers. Women may find themselves trapped in a state of high anxiety, plagued with worry, panic, and an unexplainable suspicion of others. As a result, paranoia during menopause can cause relationship problems, career interruptions and frazzled nerves as women attempt to deal with this pervasive sense of dread.
