Mens basketball: The kings of the conference won their second straight Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference crown, and 11th overall, with a 77-71 victory over the UC-Colorado Springs Mountain Lions March 8 at the Auraria Event Center. Junior forward Nicholas Kay, who was named the most valuable player of the tournament, finished with a team-high 22 points and nine rebounds. The Roadrunners will host the first round of the NCAA tournaments South Central Region beginning March 15. -MS
