Menswear Technologist - Formalwear Location: London Salary : up to £30k Posted: 28th November 2013 Our Client, an established supplier of Menswear to major high street Retailers is looking to recruit a Product Technologist. The successful candidate will be responsible for product development and Quality Assurance of from prototype to delivery. This is a challenging role requiring a sound technical knowledge of both men’s tailored garments and fabric standards. Applicants must be able to demonstrate •Previous experience working in Menswear and an excellent knowledge of formalwear sizing, fit and construction techniques •A sound knowledge of tailoring fabrics, their properties, standards and testing requirements. •Experience working with Far East Suppliers and an excellent understanding of menswear manufacturing, compliance and AQL procedures •The ability to prioritise workload and excellent communication skills. •Candidates from Supplier or Retail background considered .Previous experience working with leading High Street Retailers would be a distinct advantage.
