#MentalRecap Life is a journey that is full of varying experiences. Of course, not many people regard all of these experiences as exciting. Failure is not strange to human existence, and it would interest you to know that in His programme for you, God is very much aware and has also made provisions for failure, in case it occurs. In the race of life, it is not strange to fall, there is no one who has never fallen once whether physically or otherwise, but it is an eyesore to remain fallen. For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again... Proverb 24:16. You may have failed and fell in the year 2014 but behold, here comes a new year to arise and shine again. People who remain in failure are not there because they failed but because they have buried their future in past disappointments and mistakes. Every body is busy pursuing something, if you fall and get back on your feet immediately, no one may notice it. They may think you simply bent down to pick up something from the ground so as to continue the race. Consider the story of Abraham Lincoln for instance who suffered business failure, then went into politics and lost the elections at five different levels. In the process, his business failed, turned down by Barrister Stanton a successful city Lawyer and precious wife died. In the midst of all tribulations, when He was asked what he planned to do next, he said he would still contest for vice presidency. He did and it was another failure. Yet he refused to call it failure, rather he said, I am gaining experience. Then he contested for presidency and won! He became president of America at the age of 60. Thomas Edison, the man who invented the electric bulb is said to have performed the experiment nine hundred & ninety-nine times before he got it right and when he was asked, How many times did you fail? Edison said, I didnt fail anytime, I only discovered how many ways it could not be done.
