Entrepreneurs’ can expect to receive critical feedback pertaining to his or her unique business situation. This extended conversation with a mentor can be about any business concerns you may have. Qualified mentors with years of experience will be available to help you hash out decisions about your business. Mentors: Eric Koefoot Eric is an experienced software executive and an Internet pioneer, having either founded or served as a senior executive for early-stage Internet companies since 1996. He was most recently the founding CEO and Publisher of U.S. News Ventures, a branded internet publishing company funded in part by U.S. News & World Report. Prior to that role, he was co-founder and CEO of Five Star Alliance, a successful ecommerce startup in Alexandria, which became the largest independent booker of luxury hotels worldwide and was sold in 2007 for over a 10X return to investors in less than 3 years. Joshua M. Konowe Prior to Co-founding Uppidy, Joshua boot-strapped two successful, profitable dot-coms (eAgent & BrandClick) with two exits in just over 7 years from 2002-2009. Joshua graduated with a BA from the University of Kentucky in 1996. He was voted one of the Top 35 under 35 by Bisnow, his second start-up was nominated for hottest boot-strap by the Northern Virginia Tech Council, He is a mentor for The Founder Institute, and he is a graduate of the Mindshare Alumni group, the most influential CEO group on the East Coast with more than 500 successful entrepreneur members. He has guest lectured and been a panel judge for MBA students at several universities including Georgetown. David J. Muchow Mr. Muchow, Principal at Muchowlaw, is a corporate lawyer who helps companies grow from startup to exit strategy. He serves as an advisor to crowd sourcing and startup support firms. He has over 20 years of experience in corporate law, M&A, business plans and raising capital, finance, non-profits, litigation, government contracting, lobbying and international transactions. Dr. Earl R. Smith II Dr. Smith is a serial entrepreneur, seasoned senior executive, political and social theorist, published author and speaker. A veteran of Wall Street, he founded and managed two non-profit and six for-profit companies. Those companies ranged from a NASDAQ Broker Dealer in which he was a principal to a company that revolutionized the financing structure of the US film industry. Dr Smith has managed multimillion dollar budgets and staffs up to three hundred as well as served on seven Boards of Directors and three Advisory Boards. Doug Howard Doug Howard is the Founder and CEO of SAVANTURE, Inc. an IT Security firm headquartered in Reston VA. Doug brings over 25 years of business experience and executive leadership to his chief executive role at SAVANTURE. Doug’s industry background includes senior leadership positions across a number of high-profile global companies in the Internet security and telecommunications sectors including VBrick, SilverCloud, Counterpane, BT, AT&T, Peak XV, Sprint, and CSC. Doug proudly served and started his career in the US Air Force working under the direct command of the Joint Chiefs of Staff at the Pentagon and Cheyenne Mountain. He also founded Technology Research International, Inc. in 1989, which was purchased by NBC Broadcasting in 1991.
