Mercedes C-Class gets power boost from Brabus. Tuning firm Brabus is now offering a range of upgrades for the Mercedes C-Class in AMG-Line trim Mercedes official tuning partner Brabus has been busy with the latest C-Class saloon and estate, and is now giving buyers the chance to boost their cars handling and power output. These upgrade packs will be sold alongside the Brabus bodykits and interior upgrades available on all current C-Class cars. Brabus styling kits for Avantgarde and Exclusive models were already available, but this is the first time theyve been offered on AMG-Line cars. The visual upgrades include an aerodynamic new front spoiler, a rear boot spoiler and diffuser-style rear bumper insert. There is also a Brabus chrome exhaust system available, plus new 18 to 20-inch alloy wheels. Brabus is offering a 20bhp boost for the 154bhp 1.6 litre engine in the C180 petrol model, along with a torque improvement of 50Nm, up to 300Nm. The C200s more powerful engine can also be had with an extra 40bhp, bringing the total to 221bhp, and torque goes up by 30Nm to 330Nm. That brings the 0-62mph time for the C180 down to 8.4 seconds, and the C200 down to 7.0 seconds. Top speeds increase to 143mph and 150mph respectively. The engine upgrades receive Brabuss three year/60,000 mile guarantee, and wont void the original Mercedes warranty either.
