Mercy Launches First Lunch and Learn Session Williston, N.D. – Mercy Medical Center will host its first Lunch and Learn session, on May 20, 2014, from noon to 1 p.m. at the new Area Recreation Center (A.RC.). Guests can look forward to a free catered lunch, as they gather information on a range of topics dealing with vaccinations, signs of autism, and colic. The session will kick off, with featured speaker Dr. Sheila Ponzio, of the Mercy Medical Center, Pediatric Clinic. “This Lunch and Learn session will offer the public an array of information, outlining concerns, and proactive steps created to raise awareness on health issues that affect children ages 0-18,” said Ponzio. Mercy plans to extend its efforts, in improving the way it handles educating clients on health concerns, and questions, through a series of themed Lunch and Learn sessions that will be offered to clients and the community, throughout the year. Attendees are asked to pre-register for the upcoming session at [email protected] by May 16, 2014. There is no entrance fee. The Lunch and Learn will take place in the (A.R.C) meeting room. Following the event, guests will be encouraged to provide short feedback on the topics they’ve learned about, and have the opportunity to identify other topics they would like addressed at future Lunch and Learn sessions. .
