Merhawi G Kidane ~ A few years ago, there were five African nations that had not signed military partnerships with Africom, the U.S. military pact. Those nations were Libya, Ivory Coast, Sudan, Zimbabwe and Eritrea. The governments of Libya and Ivory Coast as we all know were overthrown by Western governments and their proxies and the last three, although holding strong, have all been sanctioned. The reason I bring this up because the Europeans and the West like to stipulate their working with African nations when they covertly undermine our national sovereignties. Africa has never stopped being colonized, hegemonic powers have merely changed the ways theyve done it via the IMF, World Bank, imperialism, debt structuring, military partnerships where they typically strengthen the military at the expense of the govt, etc. Africa needs to definitely wake up because with the collapse of Western governments, the looting is in full swing especially given they have a competitor in China.
