Meriam Yehya Ibrahim has been sentenced to death for marrying a Christian - Daniel Wani, a U.S. citizen - and for refusing to renounce her own faith in Christ before a Sudanese court. She is pregnant with her second child and her 20 month old son is in prison with her since the courts refuse to recognize her marriage to a non-Muslim, voiding any parental rights for the father. By law, the death sentence will not be carried out until 2 years after her second child is born, so there is time and hope for an appeal...and lots and lots of prayer.
