Meritus sub contracted with Complete Stone Works Scott Goodman lead contractor. Scott agreed verbally to use our guys from CPHI WORK FORCE , which you see in these pics below. This house is located in NC, Bear Wallow Mnt. Scott Goodman rode into Hendersonville on a motor cycle, walked into my office and out the back door to talk to the anxiously awaiting guys who needed to work not only to pay bills, but pay child support, and learn how to work with honest hard working role models. Scott would not speck to me nor was he interesting in setting a time to workout the details. He only spoke to the guys, turned and said if they want to work get them to Bear Wallow Mnt He walked to his Harley where his wife was waiting on him. she said they could follow them up the Mnt. The five guys went-- he choose only two out of the five and sent the others home. The Two of our guys stayed on with him even though he did not pay, no transportation and the other guys Scott attempted to intimidate because of their background . These contractors are out of SC and worked our guys from 730am until 1pm trying to complete the contract and house they had started. Scott did not pay and actually moved in with one of our guys. Scott told our guys that they would be paid when the job was completed, our guys told him they needed money for gas and food just to get to work. Scott Goodman was given $5000. to pay the guys , From Meritus, he did not pay them after three weeks the guys could not afford to travel the mnt. I began to call Scott and each time i spoke to him he gave me different excuses about the reasons he was not paying for the guys work. I talked with the guys and they told me they did not want to work for a guy that did not pay them. I wanted to attempted to help Scott- by asking the the guys to work until the job was finished? Each told me after three long weeks and not being paid they simply could not afford it! Scott Goodman has not paid for their work stil today, I was put in a situation where the guys would not work, nor did they believe they would get paid! So, they would not even try to go to other jobs that were offered! This man not only scammed meritus but CPHI and five guys who needed to know that they could make a difference in their community, pay their own bills, and provide for their children. This man not only took from our community, but the homeless, children who needed food , clothes and security which comes from a man working hard for their families. This is a slap in the guys face and reinforcing beliefs that a mans faith is hopeless!!
