Merriam-Webster reports that there was a 176% increase in the amount of times “science” was looked up in 2013 compared to 2012. The word that took second place was “cognitive,” so it is fantastic that there was such a big increase in people are wanting to learn more about science. Thanks to all of you for helping to spread the word on how amazing science really is! This is especially good news considering the Oxford English Dictionary declared “selfie” as their word of the year. More info: bit.ly/1aALrF2 Photo via: Bebeto Matthews
