Merry Christmas From Andy & Bea White We have much to be thankful for this year and hope that your year has also been a blessed one! Andy has been busier than ever with his electrical contracting business and I have also been busy with my art endeavors. Our lovely family have been happy and healthy and we are thrilled to announce that we even have 3 new additions (and, no, its not new pets)! We had a gathering of all of my siblings (details to follow). Andy & I have both been thrilled to see more of our daughter, Jennifer this year! All in all, life has been great! Since Andy retired from the Border Patrol he has been busier than ever. He started with the intention of working 2-3 days a week. Well very quickly that turned into 5 days a week! He has had work in Alpine, Ft. Davis, Marfa and even Presidio. His most enjoyable jobs are the ones that he does on the local ranches in the area. One of the ranches raises exotic animals. We are animal lovers so you can see why we like it so much. Of course I get to go help him sometimes so we both enjoy it. I have had several art shows this year. The Gallery on the Square, where I am a co-op member, regularly hosts shows. The chili cook-off in Terlingua was also a successful showing. I have also had a couple of commissions. One of my favorites was a horse & owner portrait. In the works is a western and a genre scene. Last January our son, Daniel was married! We are very happy to have Kristen Nichol as a member of our family! She is a joy to have. She and Daniel had a lovely wedding and since then have been very happy. Well, love has been in the air this year because the marriage of our grand-daughter, Natalie to Tony Dominguez was a surprise. Not to mention the arrival of our second great-grandchild Alayna. Now that was very exciting! It is just wonderful to have a new baby in the family! Welcome to the family Tony & Alayna! The gathering of my siblings this year was very special. We gathered in Valentine. Though we were very saddened that our beloved oldest brother, Joe, was not with us as we lost him in 2013, it was wonderful for all of us to be together again. We shared wonderful memories of Joe and the others who left this world too soon. We celebrated a Thanksgiving and birthday together. We visited the old home in Marfa where some of us had been born. We also spent quit a bit of time at the shooting range where we ladies got to show off our Annie Oakley talents. Hopefully this will become a yearly event. Our daughter, Jennifer has visited us several times this year. She was able to make it to some of our family gatherings including Thanksgiving. She also got a promotion where she will be having weekends off. We are very happy for her and happy for ourselves because we will be able to see more of her! So, as you can see, we have been very blessed this year! Our health has been holding up and we are so thankful for the health of our family. As we celebrate the birth of our Savior, we pray that you and your loved ones will be happy and well in the coming year! Isaiah 9:6 For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
