Message Of Atty. Leni Gerona-Robredo Representative, Third District of Camarines Sur For Easter 2014 Today we celebrate Easter. We remember Jesus Christ’s resurrection, how He conquered death to save mankind from sin. We are reminded that because of His love for us, He has risen in order to draw us further into His grace. Easter, therefore, is hope. It is a vision of renewed life, so that we may keep moving forward to our goal of creating a progressive society. Let us use the spirit of this day, to fuel our passions in pursuing our endeavors in nation building. To my ka-distrito, this is the first time we celebrate Easter with me as your voice in Congress. I know of the hardships we have been through over the years: Figures have shown how high we are in the poverty index. They have revealed how poorly we stand in Health as well as Education. They are alarming given our resources and our potential to maximize them. These are but burdens we can overcome if we work together for our common goal. Jesus has carried a cross for us. He carried a cross so He may ascent from death. We too have carried a cross. We have endured its burden and like Jesus Christ, we will rise from it. We have long a way to go but let us continue helping each other achieve our goal of development in our district. From the start, I have advocated for open and participative governance and we shall keep it that way. Let us welcome Easter with renewed hope and continue with more eagerness the developments we have started. A happy and very meaningful Easter to all!
