Message from Bob Melee he posted this but not many saw it, hes looking for some input- Calling all LightWeight Riders How many people are going to be racing in the 250 Lightweight Supersport this year? Is there enough interest from the 250 riders to re open the LightWeight GP Class just so we can have an extra race on the weekend. If we can get a minimum of 5 bikes that will enter the GP class, ARL will put it in the Schedule for the 1st race weekend. For an extra $40 or so, that means the 250s will be racing against other bigger bikes, but who cares if the majority of the bikes on the grid are 250s anyway. This may open the door some of the older riders who were considering buying a 300 or maybe someone has a an old Ninja 500 laying around or something. LIGHTWEIGHT GP Rules All machines must have a sealed lower fairing Slick tires are permitted GP motorcycles are allowed unrestricted modifications as long as the technical requirements are met and displacement limits not exceeded: Single cylinder, unlimited displacement Two stroke, air cooled, unlimited displacement Two stroke, liquid cooled, up to 450cc Twin cylinder, air cooled, up to 800cc Twin cylinder, air cooled, push rod, up to 1210cc Twin cylinder, liquid cooled, up to 700cc Four cylinder, liquid cooled, up to 565cc Four cylinder, air cooled, 2 valve, up to 750cc
