Message from Dr. Lindley, Superintendent of Niles Community Schools, regarding the upcoming millage: I hope you and your family are enjoying the summer - it is a great time to recharge and enjoy the beauty that Michigan has to offer. Im writing to you today because, as Im sure you are aware, Niles Community Schools is holding a millage renewal vote on Tuesday, August 5th and Im hoping that those of you who are residents of the school district will take time to vote. The millage we are presenting for community approval is a continuation of the existing millage. This means there is no additional impact to the residents of the school district. It is important to note that the millage represents 10% of our operating budget and, as Im sure youll agree, is crucial to maintaining the high-quality academic and extracurricular programs provided to our students. To vote, visit your official voting site between 7am-8pm on August 5th. Absentee ballots can be obtained at the city or township prior to the vote.
