Message from Mrs Parveena Ahangar, Chairperson APDP: For the last 24 years the Parveena Ahanger and other women at Association of the Parents of Disappeared Persons(APDP), Jammu and Kashmir have been fighting a lonely battle in search of their kith and kin, who were victims of enforced disappearance at the hands of Indian soldiers in Kashmir. The members of APDP who are mostly the family members of the victims of disappeared persons have been actively pursuing the cases and have organized monthly demonstrations against the continuing state atrocities. In this long drawn journey against oppression and violations APDP has been tirelessly working to create space for a dialogue and consciousness in our society on the issue of Enforced Disappearances in Kashmir and the struggles and resilience of the victim families. On the International day of the Disappeared, 30th Aug, 2013, let us be the co-travellers in this journey that seeks to bring perpetrators of such crimes against humanity to justice. Let us express our solidarity to the family members of the victims and join the event on 30th August, 2013, 10 a.m Partap park, Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir. -- With Regards, Mrs Parveena Ahangar Chairperson Association of Parents of Disappeared Persons (APDP) Near Al Amin Hospital, Airport Road, Hyderpora, Srinagar, Kashmir -190014 E-MAIL ID: parveena.apdp@gmail & apdp.kashmir@yahoo OFFICE:0194-2431552 MOBILE: +91-9906487122 WEB: disappearancesinkashmir.org
