Message from league.... Note to Division 4 clubs:- Due to the number of fixtures being lost over the last 3 months, to complete the remaining fixtures based on teams playing each other 3 times as was proposed at the start of the season has now become impossible. If this format was continued some teams would be required to play seven matches in April and with only 4 Saturdays available in the month including Easter Saturday it would only be possible with night games. Therefore it has been decided by the league to revert to completing the league fixtures as the normal two games ( Home and away ) format. The results of four third fixtures already played will be deleted and the league positions will be decided as per usual on the home and away principal. However this does mean some teams will finish their fixtures at the end of March and therefore it is proposed to run a cup competition based on two groups of four and the winners of each group meeting in a final and the winners being presented with the John Haydock Cup ( The original Chorley League trophy ). Details of the competition and the full list of fixtures for the competition will emailed to all Div 4 clubs asap.
