Message from the Superintendent Welcome back! Dear Deer Creek Community, It is with great joy that I welcome you to the 2013-2014 school year. It is truly an honor and a privilege for me to open the new year for the first time as your Superintendent. I am thrilled to be part of a District where traditions are held in high regard and where keeping current and implementing best teaching practices are valued. Our primary focus will continue to be on the academic excellence that is a long standing tradition of Deer Creek Public Schools. We continue our commitment to providing a quality education that promotes maximum individual achievement coupled with exemplary social responsibility. Deer Creek Public Schools are committed to excellence for all learners. Our commitment to excellence has never been stronger or more focused. All of your teachers continue to study and implement evidence based best teaching practices increasing the rigor and relevance in their classrooms. They continue to work on mapping all curriculum to the national Common CORE standards ensuring your children a viable curriculum that will result in being college, career and citizen ready. I could not be more proud than to work alongside the professional, knowledgable, and caring staff of Deer Creek Public Schools. They are to be commended for their expertise and dedication to our most valuable resource, our students. We will only be successful at reaching the academic and extracurricular goals for the children of Deer Creek if we work closely together~educators, parents and community members. I look forward to building even stronger connections and partnerships with the Deer Creek community so that together we can make our schools the best they can possibly be. I encourage you to join our education and extracurricular efforts through participation in our schools booster clubs, Parent Teacher Organizations, the Deer Creek Arts Council, the Deer Creek Foundation and the Deer Creek Chamber. Together we can ensure every child receives the highest quality education and is on a path to a bright future.
