Met a family from Syria yesterday, who are refugees from their own country due to the war. They have lost everything - their home, livelihood, family members, friends, community. Now they are a family in a strange country, cannot speak the language and have nowhere to stay. The father spent most of yesterday surrounded my his wife and children with his head between his hands wracked with the horrific dilemma of what to do and where to go next to keep his family safe....heartbreaking :-(
