Met my classmate Bill Tammeus after a gap of about 56 years. In January 1957 Bill, who is an American, had come with his parents to Allahabad, and was admitted in Boys High School, where I was studying. Bill.s father was an agronomist who had come on some U.S. government programme, and taught in the Allahabad Agricultural Institute for an year. Bill studied in my class ( class 7 ) for one year, and then went back with his parents to America. He later graduated in journalism, and joined the Kansas City Star. Bill and I have kept in touch, earlier by ordinary mail, and later by email. But we never met personally for 56 years, until today when he flew out from Kansas City, Missourie, where he lives with his wife Marcia, to meet me and my wife in California. Bill has 2 daughters from his first wife, and his present wife has 4 children from her first husband. Most of these children, and their families, live near Bills residence
