Metal History: on this day,21 years ago, Mayhem guitarist Oystein Aarseth(aka-Euronomous) was murdered by Mayhem/Burzum bassist/guitarist Varg Vickernes(aka-Count Grishnack). Mayhem is far from being the greatest metal band there is,but their story has to be the most brutal one Ive ever heard. The fact that the guitarist was murdered by the bass player is just one of many disturbing,yet fascinating,stories of this metal band from Norway. If you dont know their story,look it up sometime,and prepare to be shocked. Sometimes truth really is stranger than fiction.
