Metaphor of the day: This project is an autoclastic infundibulum. I knew an infundibulum is a funnel shaped cavity - implying the project has tunnel vision or limited applicability. What I didnt know and had to look up is that autoclastic is a geological term meaning crushed and broken in place. Implying the project got nowhere before some idiot smashed its chances of success. I need to use this metaphor more widely.
