Meteorologist Mike Hoffman WNDU: Solar Eclipse Information: While we are perfectly clear as of 2:45pm, it does look like we will see some high thin clouds coming in for the partial eclipse as the sun sets. Here is a nice article from Space that gives a lot more information. Warning...do not stare at the partial eclipse, the dangerous rays of the sun are still at full strength, even though the light is not. It is dangerous also to view it through your camera without a special lens. This article does point out that if the sun is setting, which it will be here, you can glance at it, but quickly look away. It is much better to view it online, which you can at this internet site...and youll be able to view it that way even after the sun has set here.
