No. SS 60/13 Requirements: •Successful completion of the prescribed Municipal Police qualification at an accredited Municipal Police Training facility (certified proof must be provided) •A Senior Certificate or equivalent qualification (certified proof must be submitted) •A valid Code B manual drivers licence (certified proof must be submitted) •No previous criminal convictions •Registration as a Traffic Officer in terms of the Road Traffic Act, 1989 (Act No 29 of 1989) •Permanent resident of the Republic of South Africa •Physical and mental fitness for appointment as a member of the Municipal Police Service, as contemplated in the Regulations applicable to Municipal Police members •Sound communication skills •Strong customer focus and a desire to serve the community •Good judgement, tenacity and integrity Key Performance Areas: •Enforce municipal by-law regulations •Enforce traffic legislation •Perform crime prevention functions by enforcing relevant legislation •Deliver on the specialised functions assigned to the specialist units of the Metro Police to ensure an effective response to internal and external service demands Note: Appointment to a specific Metro Police Constable Level will be dependent on relevant years of experience andlor qualification, which must be affirmed.
