MetroNews Morning News Headlines: Its another frigid day across West Virginia. Morning temperatures are in the single digits or below zero and more snow is in the forecast tonight and tomorrow. A lot of counties are going to struggle to hit 180 days of instruction this year. Putnam County is one of those after retooling the calender will only have 179 days and will likely finish the year well into the month of June. The DEP says they are now into phase two of remediation work at the Freedom Industries site near Charleston. Much of the material leaching into the water is gone and now regulators are moving dirt from the riverbank back to the top of the hill in an effort to provide permanent protection to the waterway. A Clay Co. man last seen walking on Tuesday is still missing. State Police say Joel Finch, 55, of Pond Gap was on foot headed toward Dunbar to see about a job. He was traveling with a black dog.
