MetroNews Morning News Headlines: WVU President E. Gordon Gee calls the mayhem after Saturdays WVU win over Baylor unacceptable Mountaineer behavior. Thousands of fans rioted in the streets of Morgantown. Police Chief Ed Preston said it all started to build through social media and by 10:30 that night there were fires and out of control parties all across the city. In several instances police were forced to use tear gas to disperse the crowds. Morgantown police made 7 arrests. The West Virginia State Police and Westover Police Departments were also involved in crowd control. No word yet on how much damage across the city. No one was injured. An investigation is underway in McDowell County after two people were found dead in a car early Sunday morning. Law enforcement got a call around 3am that the two men had been shot along Long Pole Road near Litwar. State Police are not releasing the names of the victims or any other details at this time. A Kanawha County delegate and candidate for state Senate is apologizing for his actions in Morgantown over the weekend. Doug Skaff was arrested early Saturday morning on a charge of DUI. He admits to having a couple drinks before getting behind the wheel. In a statement he says, I made a mistake by not having a designated driver. I am solely responsible for my actions, and I will need to rebuild the trust that people have had in me. A plan written by the state Department of Health and Human Resources will be implemented to increase pay for some employees at the two psychiatric hospitals in the state. DHHR Secretary Karen Bowling, says the DHHR is complying with the order issued by Kanawha County Circuit Court Judge Duke Bloom but she doesnt agree with it. The pay increase will impact health services workers, nurses and physicians at William R. Sharpe, Jr. Hospital in Weston and Mildred Mitchell-Bateman Hospital in Huntington.
