Michael Bloomfield was not only one of the greatest lead guitarists in rock history but also one of the most unique. He always had a very clean sound in an era when distortion & feedback was what everybody was going for. And not only did he have great chops, he had great knowledge of the modes & eastern scales when he played the blues.
