Michael Kaine, Assistant National Secretary of the Transport Workers Union of Australia joined National Office Staff to take action to support over 70 bin men in Dublin, members of SIPTU, who have been locked out by their employer for refusing to sign new employment contracts that unilaterally impose a 35% pay cut. The union placed pickets on the company, which is employing cheaper labour via an employment agency to break the strike.
