Michael Sam in all likelihood cost himself money and perhaps a lot of money with his choice to come out and he made it anyway. That is the mark of character and integrity to me, two things in questionable supply in the NFL. His principles were more important than his pocketbook, and thats the kind of guy Id like on the Giants. I imagine and in talking to some friends, I know coming out is not always an easy thing and I can very much understand why someone arrives at that in their own time. Ill simply say, Im glad Mr. Sams time and place was now, and I look forward to the day when this news is no longer news.
