Mickey went to Sports Medicine. Surgery scheduled on April 26th unless someone cancels and they will bump it up closer. He has to be off his blood thinning meds for a week before he can have surgery. Another doctor at Sports Medicine is going to see about the toe that has staph in the bone. While sitting at Sports Medicine, the VA called and was going to set up an appointment at UMC for surgery. Mickey is a person that does not like to take pain meds, but is having to do so now to exist. The x-ray looked terrible. The doctor could not see how he was walking even with walker and crutches. We really liked him. Go to the doctor to see about his toe on March 16th. We will be so glad to get it over with. Taking one day at a time. Thanks to all that called and are concerned.
