Mid-Town Farmers’ Market continues tomorrow, August 23 (7-11am). We will have LIVE MUSIC (~8-10 a.m.) from The Blues Doctors. Below are the expected vendor highlights: ~Patti Belle’s Seafood will have fresh gulf shrimp and shucked oysters from Pass Christian, Mississippi ~Cotton’s Café Dog Treat Barkery will have dog treats, made using local farmer’s produce, in 5 flavors: sweet potato, squash apple, pumpkin, peanut butter honey, and blueberry honey ~Canebrake Farm will have heirloom tomatoes (Cherokee purple, yellow pear, Amish paste, mortgage lifter, red pear piriform), better boy tomatoes, yellow and red meat watermelons, French cantaloupes, basil, okra, and fresh flowers ~Fresh from the Farm will have preserves: blackberry, blueberry/peach, peach, and pear; pickles: sweet, bread and butter, dill (slices and spears); salsa and tomato juice ~McCullar Orchards will have peaches ~The Spicy or Not Veggy will have gluten-free dairy-free multi-seed bread, gluten-free dairy-free lemon and coconut pound cake, gluten-free lime cake, gluten-free dairy-free chocolate cake and falafel ~Cathy Field will have three kinds of focaccia bread: rosemary, olive with parmesan cheese, and basil pesto with goat cheese and tomato ~Bost Farm will have tomatoes, okra, rattlesnake green beans, purple-hull peas (small bags), cantaloupes, squash, eggplant, peppers, cucumbers, potatoes, and zinnias ~Lizzys Creative Kitchen will have gourmet sugar toffee and chocolate chip cookies; fried strawberry, peach, and apple pies; cinnamon rolls; lemon almond bread; double chocolate banana bread; blueberry banana bread; sourdough and oat sandwich bread; and 3-bread braids (vegan) ~Figs LCC will have fig trees, fig muffins, fig tea and South East Asia pastries ~Ya Yas Yummys will have an assortment of jellies, jams, and preserves, baking mixes, dip mixes, mild and hot salsa, pepper jellies, chow-chow, spaghetti sauce, stewed tomatoes, orange juice pound cake, blueberry bread, Italian herb bread, and artisan bread ~Sonjas Baked Goods will have butter cookies, chocolate caramel cookies, chocolate chip cookies, oatmeal cookies, peanut butter cookies, pound cake, chocolate extreme cake, caramel cake, and strawberry cake ~Linda Boyd will have heirloom tomatoes, mix of cherry tomatoes, red and green okra-packaged to cook or grill, arugula, onion sampler bunched, fresh cut basil, basil pesto, blueberry jam and heirloom tomato jam ~Rosie Hawkins will have fried pies (apple, chocolate, and peach), small and large sweet potato and banana nut bread and muffins, sweet potato and coconut pies (big and small), small coconut cakes, chess squares, blueberry cheese cake, lemonade pies, and brownies ~Sunlight Springs Certified Organic Produce will have okra, purple Peruvian fingerling potatoes, and other items in smaller quantities
