Midab gumaysi diida - reject the color of colonialism! A Pan-African song that targeted the racist Rhodesian and South African apartheid regimes in 1971. Somalia advocated actively against these regimes and would flag the plight of their brothers/sisters there whenever possible. This song also calls attention to the unwelcome presence of the Portuguese colonialists in Mozambique and Angola. Proud to be a Somali.
