Midnight, 350 miles and 6 horses later.....just walked in! :) How lucky am I to be able to go round the country and make new friends alongside the opportunity to re visit old ones. My huge thanks to Kate Simpson and her Mum for showing me such hospitality and for Kate for organizing the weekend. I met, by chance, a very old friend from my Eventing days at Scotch Corner which was lovely as well as visiting my old boss of 3 years (when I was 18 in 1981!) ) who now lives at Fourstones, near Hexam. Janet Chaplin was my early mentor in so many ways and I owe a huge amount of gratitude to her for a solid foundation in my work. It was my days in Gloucestershire which opened my eyes to the huge influence of herd behaviour (I milked cows then as well as breeding racehorses) So much fell into place with me all those years ago to which I base much of my understanding and empathy today. Bed now!!!! Tomorrow is another day!
