Miguel Vivaldo, a 13 year old ultrarunner and 500 mile runner from San Jose, will be attempting his first 100 mile run in August. Miguel has decided to dedicate his effort to helping the Tarahumara people of Mexico’s Copper Canyon. He is determined to keep Caballo Blanco’s dream alive by raising money for Norawas de Rarámuri (Friends of the Tarahumara), an organization that helps maintain the Tarahumara running tradition. Miguel is an incredible young person with a strong character, yet he is always humble and anxious to help others. He will be running 100 miles at Run-de-Vous in San Martin, California on August 17. I hope you’ll join me in supporting Miguel in his effort to raise money for Norawas. You can visit his website at miguelrunsfree.
