Mike Mckoy MODEL CASTING in Atlanta, GA: Fit / Runway / New Faces / Women – I am working on a female model casting for an upcoming L’Oreal Professionnel event taking place in Atlanta, GA (prep + event dates: September 15-16). The artists are Jennifer MacDougall, a session stylist based in NYC who styles for Project Runway, TV, video shoots, photoshoots, and private clients…. as well as Amit Abraham, a NYC session stylist who is a regular lead on our shows at NYC Fashion Week, on photoshoots, and on videoshoots. The theme of the event is “Parisian House of Hairdressing”, tying in the modern Parisian influence of our beauty brand. We will be casting (5) female models and we will want most of them to be open to trimming/cutting + coloring their hair at least a little. We would also love to see a variety of hair lengths and textures, as well as a variety of ethnicities. We will discuss each look with you (and each model) in advance when we make our model selections to discuss what we have in mind for cut/style and color. - (1) blonde model – gorgeous/striking/chic. The color direction is meant to be beautiful (and commercial) - (1) brunette model – gorgeous/striking/chic. The color direction is meant to be beautiful (and commercial) - (2) slightly more avant-garde models (with cool, chic cuts/styles/color) MODEL CASTING DETAILS: - Email model submissions to Leonard Hughes: gene.hu@ymail EVENT DETAILS: - Models must be available all day on September 15-16 Tentative hours for the job: o Sun, September 15: Model rehearsals and hair prep (11:00pm-6:00pm hair prep and wardrobe fittings) o Mon, September 16: Event day (11:30am call time for model prep/rehearsals, then the event runs until 9:30pm) - (5) models to be chosen MODEL SPECIFICATIONS: - 5’10 or taller preferred (5’8 and taller will be considered) - Ages 18-29 - Slender, runway build - Hair lengths: we would love to see a variety of lengths: short/pixie, medium and long - Hair colors: at least (1) blonde, (1) brunette, and (1) red/auburn, and perhaps (1) model who already has more of an avant-garde (yet beautiful/luxury) look, or is open to a change. - Ethnicities: ANY! We would love to see a diverse blend of looks. - We are looking for beautiful/chic/striking/commercial (vs edgy and dark) - Confident walking a runway, and working a room (the stylists are going to want to see a combination of beauty and positive personality) - Models should be willing to color and cut/trim hair *looks will be discussed in advance w/ the stylist and the model - Great opportunity for new talent, or for models who might need to have their look refreshed a bit. - Must live in the Atlanta, GA area (or, have a place to stay nearby). We are not able to pay for flights/hotel rooms for out-of-town models.
