Miko is a young yorkshire terrier of only a year or two old. He’s scared out of his mind in the Manhattan ACC & he’s trying not to show it by putting up a sense of bravado. Miko comes from a home where he was the only dog and even though it wasn’t luxurious, he felt safe. Now his family has decided to leave the country without him - how’s that for being ditched? Miko has not adjusted to the raucous shelter and his nerves are frayed. He clings for dear life to whatever morsel of food or treat he’s given, sort of like a frightened baby might cling to their binky. It’s a sad sight to behold. Because of his disposition, Miko is marked a New Hope Only adoption. Now surely we can find a home for a 16-pound lad. We need to search every corner of hope to find an adopter for Miko.
