Mile High Horror Film Festival. My fingers would be permanently - TopicsExpress

Mile High Horror Film Festival. My fingers would be permanently stuck in typing position if I attempted to list all the people and reasons that made this weekend wonderful but I will try to list some major highlights. I had awesome discussions with Michael Berryman (HILLS HAVE EYES), Gunner Hansen (TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE), Tony Todd (CANDYMAN), Tiffany Shepis (ABOMINABLE), Eileen Dietz (EXORCIST), Directors/Producer of EXISTS and BLAIR WITCH PROJECT. I saw so many great new films like X MOOR, LATE PHASES, HOUSEBOUND and EXISTS to name a few. I befriended many, many phenomenal people; those who sat next to me to the amazing folks who made the fantastic festival what it was. Madeleine Koestner and I were pretty much a dynamic duo of the weekend (you are too cool for school, lady). I could go on for days about all the previously mentioned but the most special event to me personally, was getting to meet the timeless, Julie Adams. I got her book and we had a lovely talk about theater and her unbelievable life. As soon as I stepped away from the table, I became teary-eyed and had to step out to call Coco (Nicole). Nicole arrived later and we were able to sit together (thank you again, Mads!) for the Q&A with Julie and her very cool son, before the 3D Screening of CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON. I still cant believe it all happened. But like I said, I could go on and on about this weekend and the people I met along the way. THEY are what truly made it special. I dont say this lightly, but it was definitely one of the best weekends of my life. If any staff or volunteers are reading this, thank you so bloody much (get it? Because we love horror? ;) ).
