Miles had a swallow study this morning in OKC. He was a real trooper, foregoing food & drink till after the test and drinking/eating the yucky barium stuff. Results werent great. He mildly aspirated the liquids he took through a straw, but managed the thicker consistencies well. He will be off the straw and will need to be monitored with the sippy cup so hell only take in a swallow at a time. The results were not surprising, but they still suck. Well continue to feed him on a case-by-case basis. Sometimes he chews well, sometimes he needs to have things puréed. Im thankful he will eat anything and doesnt mind the puréed foods at all.
