Milk or Malaria: Make a Choice (Part 2) by Elijah Shabazz (Ilyas Shabazz Bah) In part one of this writing I pointed out the fact that Malaria, Flu and Ebola (I can also add to this list A.I.D.S) have the same symptoms. All are responsible for hundreds of thousands of deaths worldwide. Out of the three, Flu and Malaria account for bulk of the deaths with a combined estimate of 1,000,000 every year. While the terrorizing Ebola deaths havent even reached 10,000. Malaria alone is estimated at around 627,000 deaths world wide. It is the leading cause of death in West Africa today. So naturally our concern should be with the Real and Present danger and not the one manufactured by the media. In the January 2011 edition of The Malaria Journal they published a study entitled Lactase persistence genotypes and malaria susceptibility in Fulani of Mali. This researched was initiated by health care workers in Mali who noticed there were lower cases of Malaria among the Fulani then there were in the other ethnic groups. According to the report: The hypothesis of the present study postulates that the increased ability to drink milk in individuals with lactase persistence genotypes may offer protection against malaria infection. It goes on to note that The Fulani diet is known to be mainly based on cow milk which includes all dairy products, yogurt, cheese, butter, etc. Though, the findings were inconclusive, the evidence heavily suggests that the high consumption of cows milk may very well be the reason for the Fulanis resistance to Malaria. I will also add Ebola, because the symptoms are similar and there are little to know cases of Ebola in the Futa Jallon region of Guinea where the Fulani live. Another support to this theory is that currently in Yaloke Fulani are being held captive by UN and African Union soldiers for political purposes. They are forbidding them to leave in order to prevent a total ethnic cleansing in Central African Republic. Most Fulani have fled to neighboring Cameroon and some to Chad to escape being slaughtered. However, in Keeping these Fulani captives under the prevailing conditions its causing their deaths. Among these causes are Malaria which was found among 30% of the Fulani in Yaloke. This high rate of Malaria among these Fulani can be explained by one simple fact. Their cattle have been stolen so they are deprived of the main staple in their diet: MILK!!! While the Malaria Journal is inconclusive for the participating scientists -who still have more factors to weigh before coming to a conclusion- for me it is quite clear. For one, anyone whose body is used to a particular diet will naturally become sick when their main source of food energy is removed. Secondly the above evidence of the Fulani in their natural environment with milk compared to those without, strongly support the hypothesis that Milk is a repellent against Malaria. Even though there, are other home remedies such as lemons, oranges, and herbs that fight Malaria for the lactose intolerant. I say to those of us dairy dependents: keep doing what you doing and keep your heifer close by. And surely in the cattle too there is a lesson for you. WE provide for you drink out of that which is in their bellies -from betwixt the feces and the blood - milk pure and pleasant for those who drink it. - Holy Quran (see link in comment section for the link to the Malaria Journal)
