Mind is a product of human brain having both conscious and unconscious aspects. Our concepts on mind are strongly linked to religious code of belief. Both Hinduism and Christianity place mind closer to the soul. Christianity views the mind as distinct from the soul and further distinguished from the spirit. In Hinduism, it is too much closer to Brahmam- the divine reality. In Judaism, mind is the mediator in communicating body and divine power. It rules the heart- the controller of emotions and feelings. Taoism treats mind as a part of physical body.
