Mini Bible Study: NOTICE!! In the verse below David said he would call upon GOD and the LORD would save him. As you read this verse you could easy conceive the idea that David was speaking of two separate beings or deities, but that is not the case. Lets see what the word of GOD has to say. Psa 55:16 As for me, I will call upon God; and the LORD shall save me. Gen_2:18 And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him. This speaks of ONE, THE LORD GOD. Deu 6:4 Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD: One in the same GOD, LORD = ONE Mar_12:29 And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord: Again this speaks of ONE. Eph_4:5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism, Again speaking of ONE LORD All through the New Testament gospels JESUS is refereed to as LORD, SO if the scriptures declare JESUS as the LORD and there is ONLY ONE LORD and ONLY ONE GOD scriptures prove JESUS WAS/IS GOD.
