Minister for Factories and Boilers Shri Deepak Dhavlikar has announced that, the crushers in the state would be brought under the ambit of factories act, so as to ensure the objective of health, safety and environment for the workers, working there. He said that health, safety and environment are the integral aspects of productivity and therefore the importance of these aspects cannot be undermined. Shri Dhavlikar was speaking as chief guest at a inaugural function, of 11th National Conference on Occupational Safety, Health and Environment. The theme of the conference was OSHE aiming at productivity, Prosperity and progress. The conference was organized by Inspectorate of Factories and Boilers in collaboration with Green Triangle Society and DG FASLE. Shri Dhavlikar speaking further said human power is key aspect of productivity. The safety of this aspect cannot be overlooked. Therefore he insisted upon the employers to incur proper expenditure on this aspect which will enhance the productivity. It is the responsibility of every employer to look after the well being of his workers he added. Shri Dhavlikar complimented the staff of the Inspectorate of Factories and Boilers for successfully organizing the conference for 11th consecutive year on this important aspects of health, safety, and environment which is related to industries and its productivity. Director of DG FASLE, Government of India, Shri Vishwanathan while speaking on the occasion said health, safety and environment are to be treated as asset of any industry. Therefore investment on these aspects should not be curtailed. He stressed on the need to work on improving the occupational safety. He congratulated the staff of Inspectorate of Factories and Boilers for their endeavor to organize conference in the 11th consecutive year. President of Green Triangle Society Shri Manguirish Pai Raikar welcomed the guests. Shri Sarvesh Parab compered the function. Shri S.M.Paranjape Chief Inspector of Inspectorate of Factories and Boilers proposed vote of thanks.
