Ministry From A Kingdom Perspective T.D. Jakes says; I am tired of us oversimplifying solutions to lifes complicated questions. There are things that you are doing to you that are stopping you from getting to the next level......frankly my dear youve got to change. Okay saints, dont get me wrong, I am not a hater. T.D. Jakes is endeavoring to challenge you with what are you going to do with the second half of your life. Jakes commercial voice over says With your gift of $70 or $145 you will receive the INSTINCT UNLEASHED CD series or gift set. This teaching promises to connect me with what Bishop has connected with. Bishop is telling us that the giraffe was made the way hes made that he can see at another level. Oh for me to be like a giraffe. The giraffe doesnt need affirmation of the stuff that is on the ground. The giraffes feet is on one level in one dimension but if I am going to be like the giraffe I am going to have to eat on the level of where I am seeing. Good stuff am I right? Bishop Jakes said Its high time that you come into your dimension, that you come into your destiny, that you eat on the level that you are seeing and not be bound to the dimension where your feet are. Preach it Bishop, somebody is saying right now. Okay, come on throw stones at me for what I am about to say but here it goes. I already want you to know that I am not a hater. Thank God for T.D. Jakes, no doubt hes helped countless people along the way, hopefully to be encouraged, to exercise faith and to test the limits of their self-imposed boundaries. Preach Bishop preach!!!! And right behind him on another program came Joyce Myers teaching on how not to let fear rule your life and how you are not to settle for life the way it is but to recognize that God has not given us a spirit of fear but of power, of love and a sound mind. Really good stuff saints, and no doubt somebody can be blessed so what am I here talking about then. Why am I bringing up Jakes and Myers on this post. Here is the issue saints. They love God and Gods people and they want you to really make a difference in life and make a mark in the world, and that every single one of us has something God wants us to do and we all have a part to play. (Joyce Myers) The challenge for all of us preachers is to get past giving the people antidotal messages that encourage the people to be all that they can be and lets get back to modeling our own ministries after the ministry of Jesus who came preaching the Kingdom of God and commanding the disciples to do the same. Before you think I am a hater really think about this for a moment. If I am in the pew and you are telling me about standing up and being counted and not being wimpy and whiny and you are tell me that I am loosed, shouldnt the question become what am I loosed for and loosed to. If our leaders are trying to get us past being stuck, then what are they trying to get us to? Well most or I should say that many leaders are trying to get you past fear, into faith, into accomplishing your purpose and your divine destiny whatever that is? And therein lies the problem. Many preachers, whether its Jakes, Myers, Osteen, Parsley or your Bishop, your Apostle, Elder or favorite Bible teacher, we as leaders were not given an instruction to give you antidotal messages that encourage you to achieve your dreams and to look for a break through. We were instructed of Jesus to equip you to do the work of the ministry. Leaders were called of God not to become your life coaches but to be your coaches teaching you how to win souls for a living, how to use the gifts God has given you in the ministry and word of reconciliation. Joyce Myers, T.D. Jakes are right. We all have a destiny to fulfill and God wants us to do wonderful things in our life, but if we miss that every follower of Jesus is called to be a soul winner, that your first purpose is to be used of God to reconcile man back to God and that the effectiveness of your personal ministry starts with you preaching, teaching and demonstrating the Kingdom of God as a witness to the nations of this world, you will find yourself doing a good thing but not the right thing. The fact of the matter is that the true answer, the key, the core answer to your everyday victory is much more simpler than many of these leaders are making it. Here is the simplicity of Christ that you were never supposed to get away from. The simplicity is found in your rediscovering the Kingdom, the message God sent through His Son Jesus that you would be reconnected to the Father. The Kingdom message is the message the Father wanted preached and demonstrated throughout the nations of the world but our independent spirit makes us to preach truths around the core truth and build ministries based on a series of well received sub-topics found in the Bible like faith, hope, patience, prosperity and the like. Jakes has earned his net worth as chief pastor of The Potters House, a non-denominational megachurch, with 30,000 members, located in Dallas. Jakes church services and evangelistic sermons are broadcast on The Potters Touch, which airs on the Trinity Broadcasting Network, Black Entertainment Television, the Daystar Television Network, The Word Network and The Miracle Channel in Canada. Other aspects of Jakes ministry include an annual revival called MegaFest that draws more than 100,000 people, an annual womens conference called Woman Thou Art Loosed, and gospel music recordings, movies and TV. Why wouldnt Jakes teach what he thinks brought him into the abundance that hes walking in and why wouldnt you follow someone so obviously successful? After all, hes got to be doing something right, dont you think? Never get caught doing a good thing that might not be the right thing. And never equate material success with meaning God approves of your accomplishments. Joyce Meyers net worth is reported to be $25 million up from $8 million and both these anointed leaders fly their own private jet as does my own mentor and friend Dr. Myles Munroe. Joel Osteen doesnt take a salary but benefits tremendously from his books sales and I am not mad at him in the least. The Osteens live in one home valued at $10 million. Why wouldnt Joel preach that you are to live your Best Life Now and Everyday Is Friday TBN while it holds telethons to raise money for soul winning is reportedly sitting on excess of $800 million and in one year the net to the Crouch organization of the revenue that came in was $59 million. TBN was reported to have over $327 million in mortgage backed securities which means these are monies they are free to invest in order to keep making more money. Now on the surface arguably no one has the track record of winning souls, or at least we want to believe, like TBN has. But to be sitting on almost $1 Billion and asking for money annually, well something is obscene about that. Dont get me wrong, we all should be supporting ministries that share the love of Jesus Christ and help people to become born again. But let me ask you a quick question since youve followed me this far in this teaching. What is the purpose for the Church? Let me ask another question while you are still pondering the first question I asked. Here it is....What is the purpose for Church leadership? And heres another question..e on just take it all in. In all the ministry that youve been exposed to over the years, are you really equipped to do the work of the ministry or are you busy looking for a breakthrough in hopes that you would come into your own millions, private jets, huge salaries and multi-million dollar homes? Okay, here is my last question for this session. How many of you have really been taught by leadership to study the Kingdom of God from the mouth of Jesus in just the way Jesus taught it? Most of us have become consumer Christians who have been tossed to and fro by every wind of doctrine and have been preached to that we should expect a breakthrough and to come into our divine destiny, and to realize our own personal prosperity. But who is teaching you to preach, teach and demonstrate the same Kingdom message Jesus preached? Who is teaching you to fulfill the great commission that Jesus commanded the disciples to fulfill? Do you know five scriptures that indicate that you know Jesus delegated assignment and our authority to preach the Kingdom message that would cause Jesus to return? Do you understand that in all of the antidotal messages weve received over the years, if you are not instructed in Gods first purpose for your life and that is that you would be used of God to reconcile man back to God, that you would be used of God to be a soul winner, to be a Kingdom preacher reconnect man with Gods original purpose for man, no matter how much you love Jakes, Osteen, Meyers or this one and that one, you have not reconnected with Gods original purpose for man and just may be trying to live off an antidote when in reality Jesus came and already preached the solution to your problems. Jesus came preaching and said Repent, change your thinking, and your direction.....He wasnt just talking about sin as we know it but He was also talking to the Jews about following their religious traditions without having a real heart towards God. Jesus was giving the instruction that we are to change our direction, submit to God as Supreme King and live in true righteousness which includes integrity. To be fair, many of these leaders have a track record of kind and benevolent service towards people who are in need, but, that is no more than what we are called of God to do anyway. So here is where the real rub is. All of that money, multi-millions of dollars given to one persons ministry or another or to a few ministries and whose teaching us to preach the gospel of the Kingdom that Jesus commanded to be preached? Whose really equipping you to DO THE WORK OF THE MINISTRY (not Church work)? Study the Kingdom of God from the mouth of Jesus yourself for while some say that there is too much oversimplify answers for the complex questions of life that truth is the answer couldnt be more simpler and we are told in the Word of God that we are not to ever get away from the simplicity that be in Christ. Here is the simple solution to your search, the answer to your questions and solution to your problems. Are you ready? Here it is....Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness...... Micah 4:8 teaches us that the dominion that was at the first, the Kingdom has been restored to the daughter of Zion, the daughter of Jerusalem. Saints the dominion that was at the first, the Kingdom was restored to you just as youve also come into the blessing of Abraham. Now the question becomes, will you live from the revelation that what God purposed for Adam in the beginning has been brought to you by the 2nd Adam, who also lived and died for you that you would be brought into the Kingdom of God and that Kingdom of God would be brought into you as righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Ghost. The answer to your divine destiny has been with you all along in the words of Jesus who commanded you to not only make Gods Kingdom and righteousness your number one priority, but also in the fact that He commanded you in the great commission to teach the ALL THINGS WHATSOVER He commanded you......but our teachers didnt teach us because they were too busy giving us the antidotes that have prospered them in their book sales, CD/DVD and tape sales. At the end of the day, whether its T.D. Jakes $120,000 honorarium hes reported as charging to come preach, or Donnie McClurkin or Dietrick Haddons $10,000 - $20,000 they require to come preach, none of its really kingdom even if they use Kingdom terminology. My prayer for you who are reading this is that you would realize that while I may be labeled with having an orphan spirit or am in some way not submitted to authority or am rebellious or even a heretic the Biblical record as found in the 66 books of Gods library reveals that while we are to bless those who labor in the word, the real evidence of their labor is in you and I having become equipped to do the work of the ministry which is the work of reconciling man back to God through the ministry and word of reconciliation as we live the righteousness that the Father is. Are you equipped? Do you know and understand Jesus preached doctrine of the Kingdom? Did you call yourself sowing into good ground while in your covetousness you were really trying to get the material possessions your leader has? God says to you this day, No Refunds! You gave as unto the Lord but were not instructed, were not equipped to do the work of the ministry. God is grieved that so many have been deceived by well meaning men preaching their brand of theology that has not embraced the preached doctrine of the Kingdom just as Jesus preached it. This is the hour God is calling you to seek first Gods Kingdom and righteousness. Study the words Kingdom and righteousness in blbclassics.org and allow the Holy Spirit to begin to teach you were men have failed to while they sold you hope. We as leaders were not called to be hope dealers. We were called to be equippers of the saints. We were not called to turn the ministry into a multi million empire on the backs of people who were poor in mind and spirit, but we were called to fill you with the knowledge of God that you would know His will in your preaching and teaching the Kingdom just as Jesus did, that you would fulfill your primary purpose, and that is that you would be used of God to reconcile man back to God.
