Minnesota had an adoption for a very special boy this week. If there has ever been a case of if dogs could talk it would apply for sweet Revere. He came from a small kill shelter near Minot, North Dakota. Revere was saved one day before he was scheduled to be euthanized. I was told he was in at least three homes and in the shelter 2 times just in the previous 2 weeks before coming to us because HE KEPT RUNNING AWAY go figure... We sent out a drastic plea for a foster home and volunteers Susan and Andy offered to foster him. Then our next challenge was getting him here from 500 miles away, with the help of many fellow lady rescuers on Facebook and a long transport leg by volunteers Francine & Jeff we pulled it off just barley. Revere had some separation anxiety that Andy and Susan helped him through (who could blame him) and was even able to earn free roam of the house overtime. He was spoiled with love, 2 resident Siberians to play with, weekly visits to doggy daycare (Thank you Camp Bow Wow Burnsville) and the dog park. He was also having some health issues it was discovered that Revere had a buckshot sitting just inches from his heart, a uncommon harder to treat parasite and a weakened immune system from is life of neglect pretty sad considering hes not even 2 years old yet. Was great news when he was finally given a clean bill of health. Revere will be a city boy now living in Minneapolis with his great new family Brianna & Tyler, children Amelie (5) Felix (3) and is new best buddy Huck the Siberian Husky. Thank you to all our volunteers and supporters for making these stories possible. Have a fantastic weekend (:
