“Minnesota, here we come.” -- Right-wing attack group email What has four legs, a ton of money, and big plans for Minnesota? If you answered “the Koch brothers,” you’re good at riddles. Or maybe you’ve just been paying attention. (If you answered “a wealthy giraffe going canoeing in the Boundary Waters,” then points for imagination!) The Kochs -- and their friends in the right-wing attack-o-sphere -- are on the attack all across the country. And Minnesota tops the list of places they want to strike next. Look, if clever riddles and hilarious imagery (would a giraffe even fit in a canoe?) don’t drive home the point, then maybe this will: A new poll shows that some our opponents in this race are within single digit margins -- and a new email from one of these attack groups promises new ads to hit the airwaves soon. When will they air? What will they say? How much will they spend? I don’t know. What I do know is that this race isn’t going to get less tight once the Kochs and their brethren start writing checks and running ads. And that’s why we can’t afford to take anything for granted.
