Minnimbah Fire downgraded to advice level: A bush fire continues to burn in the Murraguldrie State Forest area between Humula and Little Billabong. Current Situation The fire has burnt approximately 9000 hectares. Firefighters will conduct backburning operations throughout the night to strengthen containment lines. People in the area can expect to see an increase in fire and smoke activity. While conditions have eased, people who have left the Carabost area should avoid the area as conditions could change. A number of buildings have been destroyed in this fire. Crews have confirmed that three homes have been destroyed. Specialist NSW RFS Building Impact Assessment teams arrived in the area today and will commence assessing the affected areas tomorrow. Firefighters spent today dealing with numerous spot fires and worked with aircraft continuing their efforts to contain the fire. Local road closures remain in place.
