....Miracles are things that cannot be explained, things that do not occur through ordinary means. We all can and should believe God for miracles in our lives. Dont be satisfied to live in ordinary life when the gift of miracles are available. Ask for and expect God to work in your life and the lives of other people. The same God who parted the red sea wants to help you today. Dont settle for the ordinary, but expect the extraordinary. Amen Witnessing what God has done to my life, through the intercession of Msgr. Teofilo Camomot. Sometime in November of 2012, I started to have severe headaches which made me vomit. My head hurts badly and my vision was severely affected that I can no longer drive, nor do my usual routine. In December of 2012, I was diagnosed to have Brain Tumor in the pituitary gland and was scheduled for immediate brain surgery. The non-evasive surgery thru laser has to be done in phases to avoid damages in the brain. The 1st surgery was done in January of 2013 and the 2nd surgery was done on the following month, February of 2013. The 3rd phase was then scheduled in August 2013. The 2nd surgery lasted 10 hours, which made me so weak, and disoriented. I was afraid and reluctant to proceed to the next phase and I just wanted to give up. Before my 3rd operation that August 2013, we attended the 25th Wedding Anniversary of my cousins Veny and Dodong Villaflor . While dinner was being served, Dindo Medalla, the husband of my cousin Rosa Enriquez, aware of my recent condition, suggested to Merlyn, my wife, to ask from Nicanor Sagolili, as he has in his possession the Pectoral Cross of Msgr. Teofilo Camomot, if he can let them touch the cross. As the pectoral cross is already a relic, who knows it will have some miraculous healing power. Nicanor or Canor, as fondly called by the Carcaranons, was the sacristan of Msgr. Camomot for a number of years. He is a very fun person to be with, and never run out of fun topics or jokes. But to our minds, having Canor as the instrument of healing, through the pectoral cross of Msgr. Camomot, seems like not his personality. It took us 2 weeks to convince ourselves to go to Canor. Finally God brought us to their home, and asked him for his help. As expected, when we told Canor that we needed his help, in his jovial state, told us, that he cannot help us with money as he does not have any. Just like any religious icon lent to a friend, he told us to bring home with us the Pectoral Cross. However, we feel since the cross was his personal gift from Msgr. Lolong, we feel that he is now his instrument and should conduct the healing session himself. Reluctant at first, but Canor placed the cross on my head and prayed over me. I felt heat over my body while I was prayed over. August came; I had my MRI, and waited for my doctor for the findings/results before proceeding to the 3rd operation. I had goose bumps and tears welled in my eyes when the doctor told me these words: “MR. ECHAVEZ, NO MORE OPERATION, BASED ON THE MRI RESULTS YOUR TUMOR IS SHRINKING. IT’S A MIRACLE. AND I CAN’T EXPLAIN IT WHY. Immediately, I called Canor and my wife Merlyn, to inform them of the good news! They felt what I felt and could not believe that a miracle was unfolding. Canor who knew the doctor, talked to the doctor himself, who confirmed that the tumor has shrunk and that the 3rd operation was not required. Canor, who has in his possession the Pectoral Cross of Msgr. Lolong for the longest time, have indeed witnessed its healing power, for the first time. I was one of the blessed ones, a recipient of Msgr. Camomot’s miracles and intercessions. Let’s pray for his beatification and to pray the rosary every day. To God be the Glory. Amen.
