Miranda update!!! After discussions with Steve, our vet, weve decided not to amputate Mirandas foot as this stage, and try to save it. Steve said the foot itself is still healthy and bearing some of her weight. We are going to treat the infection first, with 3 types of medication, for two weeks and then reassess how her foot is after that. She will also still be on painkillers so she will have no discomfort. Please keep your fingers crossed for poor Miranda. We will try every option before having to amputate.
