There are 19* within 3 generations (Daisy and her dam and granddam) Why she is the heart of the herd: Daisy has come to be the heart of our herd quite easily, her grand dam was a very special cow and when she left the herd, Daisy took over her place in our hearts. She is truly an all around cow! She is a natural producer and does so with ease; her daughters seem to carry on with her capabilities in the production department. She is one of the highest all around production cows in the barn; she has always maintained superior production status for all of her lactations. She has been flushed several times and has always responded with great results, which is why she has so many daughters at such a young age. She transmits her best attributes, because all of her daughters have shown her resilience and milking ability as well as her calm demeanor. Now that her granddaughters are starting to calve out we are quite excited to see if this continues on to the newest generation. So far the first granddaughter has truly shown that it will continue on for another generation. The Fever granddaughters are also showing the “type” qualities that we like…. Dairy strength and great legs. Daisy is truly the heart of Ferme Mirella Inc. , she exhibits all of the qualities that we look for, type, production and reproduction as well as a demeanor that allows you to work with them day after day. It puts a smile on your face when you come with the milker and you know that she is ready to do what she is capable of doing… producing top quality milk and looking good while doing too! That is what makes Mirella Goldwyn Daisy the heart of our herd.
