Mirror Magic Posted December 21, 2011 0 comments Handling reflective surfaces with care and panache Written by Aldric Dalumpines Feng shui isnt all about putting mirror remedies. Mirrors can attract positive chi and repel bad chi. Let us walk through all the beliefs that surround mirrors and allay fears related to the superstitions that cling to them. There is a hearsay that it is bad to have a mirror facing the main door as you enter. This is totally good in feng shui as it serves as a universal filter for negative chi while letting in good energies. In line with this is the paranormal concept that mirrors serve as portals for ghosts or elementals and thereby serve as ghost traps, much like mouse or fly traps. This is where the warning of not to take photos with mirror backgrounds comes in lest you photograph unwanted subjects. Mirrors facing a master bed allegedly augurs third party intrusions in a marriage thereby leading to divorce. This is a myth as even television sets are given qualities of a mirror due to its reflective screen. Actually, mirrors facing a bed is bad for the logic that mirrors absorb positive energies thereby draining a sleeping person of chi and true rest. Not all mirrors are good feng shui. Any cross, diamond, X, Y, and particularly octagon or eight-sided mirrors are a bane in feng shui. Bagua or octagon shapes lock up your human energies and leave your life in a standstill till death. In short, your luck is locked up forever; any struggle to attain the next level of success will just keep you running in place and burn out energies. Mirrors on the ceilings are also a nono. Constant overhead exposure to mirrors like these can make one suffer from a mental illness. Never ever use tiled architectural mirrors. They are too dark or carry yin energies that can be depressing to the mind, body and soul especially as they tarnish or fade over time. Always use mirrors to reflect the whole dining table or room to double prosperity. Mirrors are feng shui cures only on a selectively qualified basis. Never cure a badly situated stove by reflective mirrors as this doubles the troubles in the house. Be reminded that mirrors attract positive light into dark areas. Use them decoratively especially in small spaces to enlarge the vista both in home and business. Use mirrors wisely to double your prosperity, in business- sales and profits. Just remember that mirrors mirror your success as a human being, so use them wisely! Article from MyHome July 2011
